For this week’s Wrecking Wednesday, we head to Rochester, NY to handle a mass demolition of the Community Building at the Southeast Towers.  The Community Building was a 12,000 square foot structure connected to the Southeast Towers, which was being removed for future redevelopment.

Our team provided clean structural demolition of the building but needed to carefully maneuver the live gas main and meter on the ground floor below.  To take precaution we provided a temporary protection of the gas main and meter with use of a trench box to avoid any damage.  After the main portion of the demolition was completed, we began selective demolition around the section of the building housing the gas main and meter.  Lastly, our team removed the building substructure foundations and slabs.
