RK-73 Ramp: RFK Bridge, Randall’s Island, New York

This week’s Wrecking Wednesday comes to you featuring an intricate bridge demolition job on Randall’s Island in New York City.

Sessler Wrecking was tasked with performing a deck and structural steel removal of the on ramp. Besides overall the size of the project, the complexity included a New York Police Department service building and a local utility building located under the bridge within feet of the structure. To protect the building, Sessler utilized under decking and our patented overhang brackets.
