This week’s Wrecking Wednesday highlights a former post office building demolition in Utica, NY.  The 45,000 square foot structure was being demolished to make way for a future affordable housing project.

During the planning and site work prior to the demolition, the City of Utica and Sessler worked around a community-wide event to ensure pedestrian safety and that vehicular traffic was not disrupted over the course of the project.

Our team abated the aging structure of asbestos to ensure the remaining demolition was clean.  The former post office building was then demolished, and the site was left in pristine condition for the future developers to begin their housing project.
