Zion Hill, Rochester, New York
It’s Wrecking Wednesday, and this week Sessler Wrecking is shining the spotlight on the two-phase demolition of Zion Hill in Rochester, New York!
Sessler Wrecking was tasked with the phased demolition of a two-and-a-half-story structure known as “Wooden Street,” which featured a stone foundation. Before demolition, we conducted asbestos abatement and safely removed construction debris, transporting it to a licensed disposal facility.
In phase two, our team cleared an additional 20,000 square feet to make way for a future apartment complex.
After demolition, we excavated and remediated lead-contaminated soil, backfilling the site with clean soil to prepare for development.
Working within a tight residential area, we completed the project safely, with no incidents affecting nearby homes or utilities.
