It’s our favorite day of the week—Wrecking Wednesday! This week, Sessler Wrecking is spotlighting the demolition of the Truss Bridge in Port Jervis, New York.

Sessler Wrecking was tasked with demolishing a 135-foot truss bridge and three condemned structures in a two-phase project. The surrounding structures were abated for asbestos and removed to clear the way for the bridge demolition.

On the bridge, our crew began by removing the 8.5-inch-thick concrete deck spanning the full length of the structure. Throughout the demolition, our skilled crew navigated around a temporary bridge, a sewer line running under the river, a sewage pumping station, and a temporary utility bridge.
