Smashing into your feed with a new Wrecking Wednesday! This week, we are highlighting the demolition of the canopies at Syracuse University’s Link Hall in Syracuse, New York.

Sessler Wrecking was tasked with the demolition and removal of the West and South concrete canopies from the building. The West canopy was removed first, followed by the South canopy. Because the canopies were integrated into the existing structure, the work required detailed planning and controlled demolition methods to ensure the remainder of the building was not impacted.

The project also included the removal of PCB-impacted materials. PCB-containing concrete was identified, isolated through precision saw cutting, and properly packaged, transported, and disposed of in accordance with all regulatory requirements.

Through effective planning and execution, our team completed the project with minimal disruption to ongoing campus activities while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
