We know you have been waiting all week for Wrecking Wednesday! This week, Sessler Wrecking highlights a bridge demolition at State Route 0663 over Perkiomen Creek located in Perkiomen Heights, Pennsylvania.

The aging structure had deteriorated, leading to instability, and requiring a complete demolition and replacement. This bridge demolition was part of the Pennsylvania Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.

Sessler Wrecking was assigned the responsibility of removing the bridge’s concrete decking, utilizing a containment system to prevent debris from entering the water. Once the bridge deck was removed, then the steel was prepped and removed utilizing hydraulic excavators. All materials on this project were sent off site for recycling.

As always, safety remained our main concern, and this project was completed with zero injuries or incidents.
