Prior to demolition, Sessler Wrecking set up a modular debris containment system to collect debris from the bridge.

Sessler crews then utilized excavators to remove asphalt and concrete from the deck bridge. Two excavators worked simultaneously from each end of the bridge to hammer and pulverize concrete.

The process was designed to allow the remaining portion of the bridge to fall onto the debris containment system below. From there, crews cleared the remaining concrete debris from the containment system.

Once contents on the containment system were cleared, the bridge system was removed.
