Route 61 Bridge over Coxsackie Creek, New Baltimore, New York
Another Wednesday means another Wrecking Wednesday project spotlight. This week, we are shining a spotlight on a bridge demolition of the Route 61 Bridge over Coxsackie Creek in New Baltimore, New York.
Sessler Wrecking was tasked with the removal of a precast single T-beam bridge over Coxsackie Creek. The structure was located near a temporary bridge carrying vehicular traffic around the jobsite, requiring careful planning and controlled execution throughout the demolition process.
Our work included installing stream protection measures, removing the bridge superstructure, and demolishing the concrete substructure. Each phase was carefully coordinated to protect the creek and maintain safe operations near the active temporary crossing.
