It’s Wrecking Wednesday, and Sessler Wrecking is back with another demolition showcase! This week, we are highlighting the demolition of a bridge in West Seneca, New York.

Sessler Wrecking was tasked with the rapid removal of the Route 400 bridge, which spanned approximately 140 feet over Route 240, Harlem Road. Our crews began by removing the 140-foot concrete decking, using patented technology to protect the roadways. Next, they removed the steel beams and girders, lifting them from the abutments and moving them up the slope for off-site recycling.

This project required temporarily closing certain lanes on Route 240, but we successfully ensured the safety of both pedestrians and the moving traffic below. Our team prioritized safety throughout the demolition, which was completed without any incidents or injuries.
