Welcome to this week’s edition of Wrecking Wednesday! This week, Sessler Wrecking is highlighting a bridge demolition in Elmsford, NY!

Sessler Wrecking was tasked with removing the Route 100C bridge over 9A. Our team swiftly and safely dismantled the three-span structure, ensuring no damage was done to the utilities below.

To safely remove the center span, traffic on 9A was temporarily shut down, minimizing the impact on travel for the next day. Once the center span was cleared, we moved on to removing the remaining spans and center support piers.

During the demolition, our crew and equipment had to carefully work around a high-pressure gas line, a water main beneath 100C, and a storm drainage system. We took the necessary steps to protect these utilities and prevent any damage.
