Rochester General Hospital, Rochester, New York
It’s Wrecking Wednesday, and we’re ready to bring the action! This week, Sessler Wrecking is taking a trip down memory lane to spotlight our demolition work at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, NY.
Sessler Wrecking was tasked with the strategic demolition of a portion of the hospital to make way for a new 330,000-square-foot expansion. The project required careful planning and execution to ensure minimal disruption to hospital operations.
Our crew used the surgical cut-and-pick method to safely remove steel beams and conducted asbestos abatement, maintaining full compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Throughout the project, strict noise and vibration controls were enforced to prioritize patient safety, comfort, and care. This careful approach allowed us to complete the work while minimizing impact on ongoing hospital operations.
