Sessler Wrecking performed the demolition on 29 toll plazas as part of the New York State Thruway Authority’s Cashless Tolling Project. Starting in 2019, the Thruway Authority began its process to modernize the 570-mile highway system, stretching from the Pennsylvania-New York border southwest of Buffalo, all the way to New York City, by converting to cashless tolling.

As part of this project, Sessler Wrecking crews were carefully coordinated and moved diligently from plaza to plaza. Advanced planning was required for night work, lane closures, and the ability to maintain traffic during the duration of the demolition, especially at higher volume plazas.

Sessler Wrecking safely and professionally performed the demolition and clean-up of these toll plazas, helping to improve your travels on the New York State Thruway!
