Little Sodus Pier Repair, Fair Haven, New York
It is halfway through the week which means it is time for Wrecking Wednesday! This week features a project that exemplifies our marine and civil capabilities.
Sessler Wrecking was tasked with the removal of the existing broken concrete slab at the Little Sodus Pier in Fair Haven, New York. To perform the removal, a Komatsu PC490 excavator was utilized to break up the concrete.
Due to the pier being located on the heavily traveled Lake Ontario, our crews had to perform the work in a manner that would not obstruct or endanger the passage of vessels.
All demolished materials were recycled at an approved waste disposal site. As always safety was the main priority, and this project was completed with zero injuries or safety incidents.
