We are halfway through the week, which means that it is time for Wrecking Wednesday! This week, Sessler Wrecking is shining a spotlight on a bridge demolition in Weathersfield, Vermont!
Sessler Wrecking was assigned the task of removing the concrete deck from the 3-span southbound lane of the I-91 over VT-131. The bridge deck was slated for replacement, requiring our crew to employ precision saw-cutting techniques. This ensured the cuts along the deck were deep enough to separate the concrete and rebar without damaging the continuous girders below. Our crews safely cut, removed, and disposed of the concrete deck at an approved facility.
As always, safety was our main priority, and this project was completed with zero incidents or injuries.
