Canton Water Tank, Warners, New York
Welcome back to the first Wrecking Wednesday of the new year! This week, Sessler Wrecking is highlighting the demolition of a water tank in Warners, New York.
Sessler Wrecking was tasked with demolishing a 500,000-gallon water storage tank as part of a tank replacement project. The demolition could not begin until the new tank was constructed, and the old tank had been fully drained.
The project required careful coordination, as the demolition had to take place right next to the newly built tank. Working in close proximity to the new structure slowed production slightly, but the team ensured the work was completed safely and efficiently.
In addition to the tank itself, the project also included demolishing and removing the below-grade concrete ring wall and the associated concrete foundations beneath the tank.
