Harmon Station, Croton-on-Harmon, New York
It’s Wrecking Wednesday! This week, Sessler Wrecking highlights our capability to work within an active facility to keep operations chugging!
The Croton-Harmon Station, just outside of New York City, services the Metro-North Railroad and Amtrak Empire Corridor lines. Sessler diligently prepared and coordinated well in advance to ensure the demolition process would not impede or impact the railroad’s schedule.
Safety is always the number one priority at Sessler Wrecking, and in order to complete the demolition of the facility, a strict timeline of the process was established to protect our crews and all railroad personnel.
In addition to the demolition of the 175,000 square foot steel facility and removal of materials, Sessler crews also were tasked with asbestos abatement, and the removal of universal waste and lead from this expansive facility.
