Sessler Wrecking is looking for a Project Superintendent!
Over the past 60 years, Sessler Wrecking has grown into one of the largest turn-key Building, Bridge, & Industrial Demolition specialists in the country. We are seeking a candidate to support the Building and Industrial Demolition Division of Sessler Wrecking. This opportunity will be working in an exciting and high growth environment focusing on the planning, management, and successful outcome of demolition projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Understanding and efficiently navigating the resourcing, scheduling and financial requirement of a Project while coordinating closely with various roles such as Sessler Ownership & Directors, Project Managers, Clients, Subcontractor and Vendors.
- Overall safety of the construction project that you will be supervising with support from the Director of Health & Safety and Safety Compliance Managers.
- Manage project specific field personnel from entry to senior levels, ranging from equipment operators, laborers, and subcontractors.
- Forecast project schedule, material, labor, and equipment demands.
- Attend and participate in client required project meetings.
- Participate in creative brainstorms with management team to improve project outcome.
- Prioritize demolition phases and tasks and problem solve if issues arise.
- Implement work objectives within budget constraints and ensure that work product follows specified quality standards.
Desired Requirements:
- Experience as a Construction Supervisor, or related industry, will be given preference.
- Environmental experience dealing with lead, PCB, asbestos, etc., is a plus.
- Thorough understanding of construction management systems including change orders process, job costing/forecasting, budgeting, purchasing/estimating, and labor management.
- Able to interpret drawings, specifications, inspection reports, contracts, regulations, etc.
- Proficient in the following software platforms: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain calendars and databases.
- OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety Course and OSHA 40 Hour Hazardous Materials Safety Course.
- This position will be working at project sites and travel will be required.
