Mike Matela

Mike Matela is a Senior Project Manager; overseeing all phases of project development and execution.  His role includes bid review, quantity take-offs, estimating, bid submittals, and contract review. He manages projects both on-site and off-site, maintains strong client relationships, and ensures seamless coordination across all aspects of project delivery.

Mike has over 20 years of project management experience.  Prior to joining Sessler Wrecking in 2025, he worked for several development and demolition firms and owned and operated his own construction company.  He is also a veteran, having served in the United States Air Force.

Mike earned his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs, woodworking, WVU football, hunting, and doing home improvement projects on his 1836 farmhouse.  Mike resides in Churchville, NY, with his wife and dogs.
