Gateway Manhattan Tunnel, New York, New York
Bringing the boom, it is time for Wrecking Wednesday! This week, we are highlighting the demolition of the Gateway Manhattan Tunnel project in New York, New York.
Sessler Wrecking was tasked with demolishing and removing multiple structures and site features as part of a facility redevelopment project. The primary scope included the complete demolition of an existing Quonset hut, along with its associated concrete slabs and foundation elements.
In addition to the Quonset hut demolition, Sessler Wrecking removed an existing carport structure down to grade and demolished several exterior concrete pads throughout the site.
All demolition debris was properly segregated, loaded, transported, and disposed of at approved facilities. Upon completion, the site was left clear and prepared for future construction and redevelopment activities.
