Ball North Water Tank, Amherst, New York
Midweek vibes are in full swing, welcome to another exciting Wrecking Wednesday! This week, we are highlighting the demolition of the Ball North Water Tank in Amherst, New York.
Sessler Wrecking was tasked with demolishing a 5-million-gallon, steel-framed water tank near active sewer lines. In addition to navigating heavy equipment near and around the sewer lines, our crew also performed the demolition work in close proximity to surrounding structures and utilities, requiring careful coordination and controlled execution throughout the project.
The structure was systematically sheared apart using specialized demolition equipment, allowing our team to safely bring down the tank while maintaining control of debris within the confined work area. This allowed materials to be safely handled within the limited operational area while protecting nearby infrastructure.
Once the tank was fully removed, all materials were transported to approved recycling facilities for proper disposal, leaving the site clean and prepared for the next phase of work.
