Welcome back to a special Earth Day–themed Wrecking Wednesday! This week, we’re featuring the demolition of a commercial facility in Rochester, New York.

Sessler Wrecking was tasked with the demolition of an 810,000-square-foot commercial facility in Rochester, New York, to prepare the site for a new Amazon warehouse development.

The project required more than 20 pieces of equipment operating simultaneously, demanding a high level of coordination and precision. The project superintendent, field crews, and subcontractors worked closely together to ensure safe operations, efficient sequencing, and continuous oversight across the active site.

During demolition, unexpected conditions were encountered, including larger-than-anticipated concrete areas. Our crew quickly adapted and efficiently removed the material without impacting the project schedule or causing delays.

At peak activity, over 90 trucks per day transported recycled material and debris offsite, supporting efficient cleanup and responsible material management. This Earth Day–themed Wrecking Wednesday highlights Sessler Wrecking’s commitment to sustainability and transforming demolition work into future opportunity.
