Welcome back to another edition of Wrecking Wednesday! This week, Sessler Wrecking is highlighting the demolition of the Waterford Dry Dock in Waterford, New York!
Sessler Wrecking was called upon to remove and demolish a DB-4 Barge from the Canal System that was no longer in service.
The project began with asbestos abatement, ensuring strict compliance with safety and environmental regulations before any demolition work began. Our team also managed lead paint materials throughout the scope, addressing all hazards in a safe and controlled manner.
Next, our crew carried out the interior demolition and a complete gut of the barge. This step was critical to safely and efficiently prepare the structure for the mass demolition that followed. Once the interior was cleared, we proceeded with the full demolition of the barge.
Even under a tight timeline, Sessler Wrecking mobilized quickly and completed the job ahead of schedule, delivering a safe, efficient, and successful result.
