Welcome to a special edition of Wrecking Wednesday. This week, Sessler Wrecking is excited to premiere our full-length project video, highlighting the demolition of the former Burlington Industries Textile Mill in Statesville, North Carolina.

Sessler Wrecking was responsible for the demolition and abatement of a 221,000-square-foot former textile plant on a 7-acre Superfund site. Our crew also removed the adjacent boiler house, which housed three boilers that supplied steam through an underground tunnel, along with multiple support structures, a pump house, water cisterns, and a 250,000-gallon concrete water tank for fire suppression.

Our team performed wet demolition of asbestos-containing roofing in areas where the roof deck was structurally compromised, while also handling asbestos abatement, backfilling, grading, and overall site preparation as part of the demolition process.

Watch as Sessler Wrecking takes on this large-scale project with precision and expertise!
