Emergency Railroad Bridge Collapse, Syracuse, New York

This week we are highlighting Sessler Wrecking’s emergency bridge demolition capabilities.

In 2018, a railroad bridge along Clinton Street in the City of Syracuse in New York fell onto a multi-lane street below, causing road closures on several highly traveled routes. For safety and traffic purposes, the bridge needed to be rapidly demolished and cleared of debris.

Sessler Wrecking mobilized equipment and crews within just a couple of hours to the site. The safety wall on the span of the bridge that had crumbled was unstable and was quickly demolished due to Sessler Wrecking’s training and efficiency.

Sessler crews are able to respond to various emergency situations as our diverse fleet of equipment and experienced crews are prepared to perform under pressure to safely and swiftly resolve issues.
