Sessler Wrecking is looking for a Senior Project Manager/Estimator!
Over the past 60 years, Sessler Wrecking has grown into one of the largest turn-key Building, Bridge, & Industrial Demolition specialists in the country. We are seeking a candidate to support the Building and Industrial Demolition Division of Sessler Wrecking. This opportunity will be working in an exciting and high growth environment focusing on overseeing Project Estimating and Project Management.
Sessler Wrecking’s corporate headquarters is in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. This position would require travel; therefore, consideration will be given to working remotely.
Responsibilities include:
- Reports to the Director of Building & Industrial Demolition – able to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment on the following major tasks:
- Cultivating and maintaining client relationships.
- Collaborating with senior company leadership throughout a project’s life cycle.
- Analyze and interpret detailed specifications and drawings in order to recommend project specific effective demolition processes and production goals to senior leadership.
- Travel to attend pre-bid meetings and routine visits to projects.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to evaluation quotes, make award determinations and generate subcontractor agreements.
- Perform high level demolition takeoffs and precise estimating by use industry leading software.
- Contract negotiation.
- High ability to generate technically written content and detailed demolition drawings for project specific submittals.
- Senior Project Management of demolition projects with the support of Senior Leadership, Assistant Project Managers, Supervisors, and Health & Safety personnel – must be able to effectively delegate work and help mentor junior staff.
- Ability to monitor and successfully balance project scheduling and financial goals.
- May perform other duties as necessary or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications requested:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or any closely related field.
- Previous demolition estimating and project management is essential for this Senior Project Management position.
- Must be able to multi-task at a high level and demonstrate skillset in quantity takeoff, project estimating and technical writing.
- High standards for accuracy, organization, flexibility, and time management.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (especially Excel and Word) as well as Bluebeam, Adobe or AutoCAD and experience with scheduling and estimating software (MS Project, B2W Estimate, etc.).
Benefits:
- Salary Range: $75,000-$125,000
- May consider full or partial remote work scenarios.
